At Breakaway Hoops, we provide premium basketball camps, leagues, clinics, and remote training for children and families throughout NYC to foster physical, mental, and emotional well-being for healthy, happy, and productive lives.

Philosophy

We believe that basketball is just a game. Participating in sports is not about the number of wins or losses, but about experiencing the joy of playing and interacting with others.

It is well documented that childhood development is bolstered by age-appropriate activities that challenge the mind and body. All of our kids receive equal playing time, and we emphasize learning the rules and vocabulary of the game. We also focus on sportsmanship and creating an atmosphere that is governed by game rules and respect for others, especially when they are your opponent. Our team members are welcomed by coaches who create a stress-free and relaxed environment so that everyone feels welcome and confident – even when they make mistakes.
